Leather is a natural material, and no two panels of it are identical. Variations in grain and texture should not be considered a fault; they are inherent to full-grain leather, which keeps its outermost grain layer intact instead of having it sanded back and covered with a uniform printed finish, the way corrected-grain leather and PU are. Because each piece takes colour dye a little differently during tanning, there may be irregularities in the consistency and depth of colour across a single product, and between one product and the next.
Full-grain leather will always carry natural markings such as dents, creases, scratches, wrinkles, grain variation and small surface marks. These markings and irregularities are not defects. They are what an uncorrected surface looks like, and they are the reason each piece looks like itself rather than like every other one.
We use full-grain leather only, never corrected-grain, bonded leather or PU. It is the policy of the company not to accept returns on a product where the cause is the natural variation described above.
For long lasting use, protect your leather products from getting wet and from prolonged exposure to direct sunlight and heat. As a natural material it is subject to wear and tear over time, and it will darken and develop a patina where it is handled most.
